I found something helpful yesterday and thought I would share.
I have been stripping some Romanian AK kits. I had a few that I couldn't get the barrel pin to budge. To push the pins out I was using a grade 8 bolt that I had chucked in the drill press and cut down to about an inch and a half. To start the pin, I would use a shorter piece of the same bolt, but usually only about 1/2" long. Worked well with my 12T press, with exception of about 4 or 5 kits.
I usually am a little leary about Harbor Freight stuff, although I end up there often.
It was a 9 PC PUNCH AND DIE SET, Part # 95547.
This punch set looks nice and works well. I was able to press out the problematic barrel pins on the first try. Sometimes you have to do what you can to get the pins out. This seems to work well.

I thought it was a little pricy, but it has paid for itself already.
Hope someone can get some use out of this info.
