Will one of you guys do me a favor and tell me if the font clip on an HK or Cetme sling will attach to an SKS front sling attachment point??? I really thought it would, but I tried tonight on a Yugo SKS, and the sling "bar" is too tight. Is it only the Yugos that are this small? or are they all that way?

I'd appreciate it!

I just checked a cetme sling on a norinco and a yugo. The sling mounts are different. The cetme sling works on my norinco, but doesn't work on my yugo. Hope this helps! Dan

i just checked my norinco as well. it does fit, but the fit is kinda tight compared to the CETME. it doesn't "swivel" on the front bar as well as it does on the CETME front ring

Why are you trying?

Numrich sells some really nice OD canvas Yugo SKS slings (also work on Yugo AKs) that have the metal clip. Nice sling for Yugo rifles. They work because the yugo AK has a wider sling mount on the front than most AKs.

correct... I'm trying to find out if I need to make the front attachment point different for SKS's.

How bout AK's? does it fit on most of them?

A strap and buckle would do it, or as I said, a metal clip. Lemme see if I can dig up a pic of the spring steel clip:

If the HK snap doesn't work, I'll just do it the original way with the strap going through the loop instead of buying anything else.

How bout AK's? does it fit on most of them?

The HK/CETME sling clip fits on my yugo AK better than on the Norinco SKS, but still not as good as on the CETME, and still has trouble "swiveling" in certain directions. I would just loop the strap right through the front bar and buckle it, and not worry about a clip

could be a good plan... I was hoping that clip would be universal for AK's and SKS's as well as HK and Cetmes.

I put my 3 point jfowl31 special on my wasr-10 and I like it soo muck it's staying put. The G-3 spring clip works O.K. on mine.
