I am giving my girlfriend's brother an Enfield 2A this weekend as a birthday/graduation gift. I don't want to give him any of my SA ammo as I'm down to not much. Is wolf .308 safe to shoot in these? I know commercial ammo has higher pressures but not sure if wolf has the higher pressures as well. Thanks.

Give him the wolf & you'll find out if it is OK to shoot. J/K  I am sure, as long as the gun is in decent shape. Plus I always thought the commercial loadings were on the weak side to avoid any unpleasant litigation.

I don't know if God watched out over some of us or what, but I remember before I got smart that whatever caliber a firearm was chambered for me and brother would buy it at the hardware. I never bought any milsurp ammo until the CETME and reading the boards enlightened me. Bro had an HK-91 that never fired anything but hunting ammo. Numerous Enfields, a Mauser, and some Argentine Mauser all shot commercial stuff. I guess the bolt action may have an extra amount of safety. Jeez I wouldn't be able to afford that now!
That's a nice gift weasel!

I think Wolf would be fine in that gun Ryan. Those steel cases are strong as hell.
