Just messin' around and painted over the scratches and stuff from the rebarrel. The color matches Parkerizing near perfect. This is high quality car paint primer.

Looking good, I especially like that wood, very clean.

A close up will show the color is as identical as you could match. NOS Cetme mag looks the same too. I doesn't scratch off like regular paint but gets the same scuff appearance as parker does went scratched. Seems to rub out the same too. I may leave it alone. I'd like an all over park job but I tend to not use things as much if they look too nice. DR
Shoot, I left the screw in the triple-frame. Big Steve recommended it and since I tend to strip set screws I used a SHCS, metric of course.

I honed the chamber like we talked about with some scotchbrite pads. Broke the wood dowel more than once. I nearly put a piece of crocus cloth in because the pad was thick. I finally figured out how to get it to stay put.
GW11 on the other board reccomended the same.
I'm supposed to get range time today! Will post results. I WILL get time this 4-day weekend or I'm going out in the back yard. May call some of you guys for bail money:icon_biggrin: Almost that desperate but not quite.

Looks purty to me!
One of these days, I'll grow the balls to strip off the glossy-esque finish and put on a true flat black or flat dark gray.
can't wait to hear the updated range report.

Range day finally. I hate the public range but that's all I could do. The rifle functioned almost flawlessy. SA ball went through fine. 1inch left, 2inch high at 50 yards. 1-1/2" group not supported(much). I'm good with that! Just testing function so I didn't even try to adjust yet.
There was a one problem and that was ammo. I'm going to post more in the ammo section since I want it to get some air. LakeCity I culled once for the short story! I thought I had good rounds but didn't.
Lot's of oohing and ahhing over the rifle. No one knew what it was or why it was "new". drine
