Hi, can anyone give me some guideance on changing the recoil spring guide on a CETME or a G3. Robert RTG parts has new ones in the wrap for $9.00. I assume they are pressed in with a rivet, from the rear. I have several G3 and Cetme recoil assemblies that have excellant metal but the rods are either bent or very loose. I would like to salvage or repair what I can and use them for spares.Guideance please. Thanks, Mike.

Mike,

The guide rod can be repaired by removing the buttstock, and tack welding the rod on the rear of the buttstock hangar. the guide rod assemblies that Robert is sellng for $9 look to be the entire buttstock hangar with the guide rod attached.

You may want to contact him to confirm.
