alright we ran a poll on this and you guys wanted to see it.

so its finally done and like all builds there was a little fine tuning to do..

need more ammo to get it broke in but its had a couple of mags thru it now and so far its really nice to play with.

will ad some better pix when my red dot gets on it, as im not gonna do a scope this time.

ive got a run thru of the build over at WG for those who want to dive into it, or can answer anything here that you want to ask.

heres a couple of pix to see if this is something you'd like.

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h18/dutigaf/22%20razor%20magnum/22razormag4.jpg

heres the quick idea of what is in this...

PARTS:

Select Fire's 22Razor Magnum builders "KIT" (bolt, spring, guide, pins, buffer, barrel mounting block, mounting screw) $259 (think thats it)

Whistle Pig barrel (alum jacket, steel lined, fluted 20" barrel) $215

Ruger mags (cabella's was cheapest) $34 for 2

Stocky's Stocks Revolution Series walnut/lam $112

Heddonpal FCG $35

total cost: $655

does that seem like a good price? some will say yes, some will say: "hey thats over $600!"

guess what? YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN THIS TYPE OF BUILD.

of course it could have been done with a $20 stock & $85 barrel making the cost around $425....... but im building this for ME & want it to be perfect for a hand me down!

you cant buy one of these for this price, i can promise you that.

thank you very much. :-)

SelectFire is the company making the 80% Razor receiver that you start with.

while "my" gun is "Semi only"..

SelectFire specializes in exactly that: SA/FA & silencer/suppressor stuff for 22lr, 17hmr, 22mag & 5.7x28's.

my regular 22lr Razors posted here are something he sells everyday in the FA set up.

he is a licensed shop for building and selling them in his home state.

That is really Sweet!!! Great work as usual. Give us a range report when you can.

One of those with a nice scope would be a really fun target rifle.

Okay.. When I first looked at it, if you want the truth, I thought the price was considerably higher. That is one fine rifle.

Thanks for posting that is a beautiful project, how hard is it to build compared to the 22 lr is it the same setup?

thanks for the compliments and great questions!

its the same basic prinicple as the regular 22's ive posted here but there is just a little more involved in the magnum set up and it doesnt have near the room for error.

while the 22lr set up can be done with out the jig id strongly urge you to get the jig for the 22 mag version.

it does use the same FCG. barrel hole is made the same way, so is the moutning block and so on... the main difference is in the bolt set up.

the kit i used is SelecFires new bolt which is supposed to be better and stronger than Rugers factory bolt and has a garauntee on it not to crack which was a issue for Ruger.

the stocks are still easy to get and the barrels can be cheap or insane.. all up to what you want.

i got a little silly with this one, its a steel liner in a Alum cover with flutes and so on from Whistle pig barrels and its light as a feather with a killer twist in it....

Looks like that first shot surprised Lilly a little bit. Great looking build again. And I noticed you've got your classic build boots on too.
