WTB trolling motor, trolling battery

I've been looking for a while for a bow mount trolling motor...

Figured this place is as good as any to post a WTB.

Im looking to spend about $100-150, so its gonna have to be one of you guys who has one sitting around not being used.

I'm in Austin, and Id prefer to drive and buy FTF, since shipping on one would be really high.

needs to be powerful enough to move around a 16' boat... probably 25 lbs or higher thrust.

I'm watching craigslist, and try to check it every day, but if one of you guys spies a deal, PLEASE let me know. Im on a pretty tight budget trying to fix up my old ski boat for bass fishing, and this trolling motor is a MUST have for the lakes around here.

Also looking for a good trolling battery... same as before, its probably gonna have to be one of those things where one of you guys is looking to upgrade, and wants to get rid of some old stuff.

Id like to buy both at one place if its possible.

and.... I'm open to other fishing accessories as well if you have any offers pm me please!

For the battery, Do you know anyone that deals Interstate batteries? They have refurbished carbon batteries. The red tops sell for $125 to $150 new and you can get for $40. The deep cycle batteries are just a little more. You may call them in south Austin on Burleson and see if they'll sell direct to you.
I'll have to check with a buddy on the trolling motor.

Hey Jord... Have I got a deal for you!! for the price of shipping. a 25lbs thrust 65MX Minn Kota for only the cost of shipping. It's an older transom mount. The wife say's if she trips on it one more time she's tossing it in the trash. I don't know if you can convert them to bow mount with after market stuff, but I figure you know a lot of machinist that can work something out. And shipping can't be that much.. I bet SSwee could build it cheap.

Jordin, I have a MotorGuide bow mount, foot controlled trolling motor that I would be willing to trade for, or towards, a parts kit ( AK, Cetme, G3, AR15, FAL, or whatever you may have), or most any type of complete gun, or anything else that you might want to get rid of. It is an older MotorGuide, says "Super MotorGuide" I don't know much about it, other than I bought it from my uncle to put on a boat that I used to have, but ended up buying a nearly new Minn Kota from a co-worker. It runs when hooked to a battery, and appears that everything is functional. I'll pay the shipping to you, which should help to make it a better deal for you. My guess is that it about a 35 lb. thrust. It has a good aluminum prop with very few, if any knicks in it.
If your interested, let me know and we will try to work something out.
