Killed an 8 point with my shotgun this Saturday. My freezer is full. Sat in the Goose Blind all morning Friday. No geese were even close enough to shoot. called it quits at noon for lunch and went to work on a water logged boat motor. Saw a few large groups flying low close to the garage. Grabbed the shotgunswith 2 other inlaws and put three geese down. Good times.
I had a great thanksgiving. I got a new to me T/C Omega inline Muzzleloader that I am dying to hunt with. Going again on New Years unless I can play hookie between now and then... Hope you guys are well.

Nicely done! I got a buck on opening day here and shot a good sized doe this weekend.
Turned the buck into sausage links and this doe will be processed into hamburger and jerky and maybe some "fajita" meat if there is enough.

Damm I'm getting hungry
Great job, congratulations. I used to do a lot of goose hunting and now that I am retired, I think I might take it up again.

I killed the doe on the 28th. She weighed about 165 lbs.

Man your Doe are waaaaaaaaaaaaay heavier than ours. My Buck had a huge body and he didn't weigh anywhere near that. The doe I shot last weekend, I picked up by her feet and tossed it onto the back of the 4-wheeler. She couldn't have weighed more than 80-90 pounds and she was 3-4 years old and good sized!
In the off-season we are going to weld a new hanger for our deer. The one right now is about a foot too short... Gonna make room to put a scale on it this time around. We typically don't weigh them... just hang em up, skin em, and quarter em.

Got this one with a crossbow. Called him in with a doe in heat can call. He was rubbing a tree when I shot him.

Got this one also. This guy came in to a grunt call after making a scrape.
This is the first year I really used calls, they work great in some instances, especially if you use a bow or crossbow and need them to come in close.
