START SAVING! :D They're available now. Check your favorite distributor. Centerfire (http://www.centerfiresystems.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1120) has 'em, and I'm sure others do, too. Century (http://www.centuryarms.biz) will have them, too.

Ron, did century(orf?) make them out of the box for ar mags rather than the galil mags or are you useing a adaptor? It looks like an ar mag there atleast.

i had to find the mags that came with it and find the orlite mags.
they are regular steel galil mags, mine is not set up for the ar-15/m-16 mags.

the orlite mags i had to run a round file on the top back edge and file of maybe 1/16" ( i could force them in place) now they pop in and out with ease.

i have not had time to go to the range yet, maybe next week.

i ordered one a couple weeks ago from them, and they still dont have them.

the galil is basically an ak47
the galil has an AK type mag catch on it
the AR has a side mag catch
there is no way to use ar mags on a galil without cutting the mag catch assy. into the side of the galil receiver like an AR, or by modifying ar15 mags by welding stuff onto the mags to make them lock into the galil

Here is a kit from CenterFire Sytems that I built on a Century receiver. The thing runs like a champ and has no issues. I did purchase some of the Orlites from CDNN (35-rounders) and they are brand-spanking new.

I'm sill waiting for the Century Galil I ordered about 43 days ago. (Who's counting, right?) When my dealer ordered mine from Century, he inquired at my request about spare mags. The rep, (ED, extension 2) said it came with two spares and that they didn't have any extra for sale. He mentioned by way of passing that there were a number IMI ones brought into the country a while back. So I guess this is a long winded way of saying the Century models use Galil mags.
I purchased from Ohio Ord five 50 round mags for $100 (or $25 each.) The ad in Shotgun News called them 40 round, but when I asked the sales rep she said it was a typo and they were 50's. The lady I spoke with said they were "used but Excellent." I'd say two were very good, the rest needed major surgery. Rust and dents on the bodies, sand inside the magazine bodies, springs rusty, etc. I dremilled them clean, degreased, and spray painted them with Rustolium. All turned out okay. CDN in Abaline, Texas has brand new thermamold IMI 35 round ones. I paid twenty some bucks each. Their ad advertises both used and new but they have only the new ones.

There is an original Isreali mag converter, there is a guy who sells them for $45 they are missing a small spring and need the mag release lever pin hole drilled, they snap into the rifle using the exsiting mag catch they you can use AR mags and use the mag catch on the side of the converter to relaese the ar mags.
