Anyone know if new, unused locking pieces are available from any supplier. I've ordered a used one online but would like to find a new one if that's possible.

I see that this is your 1st post, welcome to the board.
There is a great fellow named Jorge who resides in Spain that has new locking pieces. I got one from him, but dang it I can't remember his email address. Someone here will have it I am sure. (I will try and find it)
Just a note, I also ordered a good used locking piece from APEX gun parts and it gave me the same bolt gap measurement as the new locking piece. So I would say APEX sent me a LP that was used very little.

He's probably the only hope unless someone has an armorer's kit!
I don't think many people gain much when using a new locking piece at least that's what I take from all the posts. I put a new one in and got nothng extra.

Best way to contact Jorge is through gunbroker I've found. Shipping is pretty reasonable considering it's crossing an ocean.
There are a few guys here who have the skills to make them, though I've never seen any like that for sale. Maybe in a few years when the surplus is really and truly gone.
I'd suggest you go with +size rollers before messing around with anything else, and above all if your gap is in spec and gun shoots ok, then don't mess with it. Spend that $$$ on ammo, after a few thousand rounds you may then need some parts :D

I second using +2 rollers I just hit one and no gap change at all .

Your first post doesn't say specifically CETME, if that's what you want then Jorge is the way to go, If you are talking Hk LP's, go to RTG's website. Just wanted to be sure if we were talking CETME or Hk.

Yep, it's a CETME. I sent a PM to Jorge Saturday night and got a reply from him the next day. $50.00, including shipping.

Yep Jorge AHA Van loos on gunbroker. Great guy to deal with. Have bought many parts from him over the years and he is good to go. You'll be surprised how fast he gets the parts to you.

Well I'd still like to get that part from Jorge but I've asked him to tell me where to send the funds and have gotten no further response from him. Guess I just wait or give up on getting the new locking piece.

I had heard some time back that he couldn't get any more new ones. I'm glad he found some more.

You know I could swear I have seen whole new CETME carriers recently, I wonder if Lafoon has them.

I must disagree...the LP I got from Apex (along with new bolt head) increased my BG so that I had to move from +4 rollers back to +2, and I could have even gone back to the 8mm +0 rollers and still gapped at .012.
Mind you, the new bolt head might have helped, but I could actually see the difference on the LPs, the newer one vs the older one...new one was not as worn in on the bearing faces, no trough in the piece.

cetme i shot years ago ,was a mars in the late 70's ...it was very nice and easy on the recoil to the Hk's 91 ...i believe the angle is other way which has a slower opening the hk ...sorry i did not finish my post earlier thxs...

I think there is some discussion about the Mars Cetme LP in the LP type study thread. I was thinking it was 60 degrees but I could be mistaken. Too many LP's in too short of time is taking it's toll.

My wife just called me since I am working out of town and my new CETME locking piece has arrived! Cant' wait to get home this weekend and install it to see what kind of difference it makes in my bolt gap. Thanks to those of you on the board who told me about Jorge! :icon_biggrin:

It was bound to happen to you sooner or later.....DRB Burnout.... Too much stuff to try and keep track of. I go through my notebooks from time to time and find stuff I wrote down in there myself and say to myself...."I didn't know I knew that!, and in fact don't even remember writing it down!!!"

I wish it was just DRB stuff! People at work ask me about things I designed or implemented a few years ago and it takes me some time to remember that I even had anything to do with it. Too many irons in too many fires (I hope).
