Sickening is all I can say...
Not to high-jack your thread, but the only thing worse than this we've had in my area lately are some ass-hats who have been stealing the bronze flag holders from Veteran's graves and selling them to scrap dealers for $$$. To me this goes beyond human decency. If a person can do this they are capable of anything (crime wise) IMHO.
Unfortunately, the grounds keepers say they have little or no records of the older graves and once the markers are stolen and if the deceased has no family they have no way of knowing who had the veterans markers.
Not only should the perpetrators be prosecuted, but the scrap dealers as well should be prosecuted to the highest degree that the law allows. This would be a great sting idea for the LEO's to nab the scrap dealers that pay for these items. I mean they (the scrap dealers) have to know when someone brings in items like this where they came from.

I don't understand the Nazi flag part.. Were the vandals Nazis or were they saying the dead servicemen were Nazis? The flag burning part says to me they were from the far left. Either way it sickens me as well

Is that the old British quartered, as in drawn and quartered. From wikipedia
"Dragged on a hurdle (a wooden frame) to the place of execution. Hanged by the neck for a short time or until almost dead. (hanged). Then disembowelled, and the genitalia and entrails burned before the condemned's eyes . Lastly beheaded and the body divided into four parts (quartered). "
That would get the message across.

YIKES! :bash:
I thought that quartered meant getting tied to four horses, then having all 4 of them run into separate directions.
But I like your definition a lot better for these people. :2pistol:

Don't try and understand the lib animal mentality and make sense of it, as there is no sense to be made of those animals.

Disgraceful.
Amd, yes they are cowards, indeed.
If the belief more than one person was involved is true they'll figure it out who they are eventually.
I have learned that the only secret is one where one person is involved and that person is dead.
Thugs like that are usually egomaniacs that like to brag and when you have more than one culprit odds are one will have to let someone else know what he/she has done.
Call it a terrorist act and hold him/them indefinately until such time as they can turn them over to my tribunal, LOL.

Interesting comment, that makes me wonder too what the motivation is. Very sickening, very.

When I talked to my mother this weekend in NY she told me my grandmother's (who had recently passed) veterans plague had arrived and when her and my Dad went to the cemetary to put it at her grave they noticed my grandad's bronze plague was missing. They found a cemetary worker who said they were having them stollen for the bronze all over the cemetary! My mom just took my grandmother's home and it will live in the yard near my grandmothers favorite tree. And my parents have to get a replacement one for my granddad! Really pisses me off! I mean what kinda scumbag steals from graves!

"stealing the bronze flag holders from Veteran's graves and selling them to scrap dealers for $$$"
-->That is low. I agree the scrap dealer is to blame for that too, provided that the markers were brought to them in an unaltered form.
I think the old school viking punishment of the "blood eagle" would be appropriate:
http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/5/59/Larbrovalknut.jpg
A section from the Lärbro image stone from Gotland, Sweden.
The Blood Eagle was reportedly a method of torture and execution that is sometimes mentioned in Norse saga literature. It was performed by cutting the ribs of the victim by the spine, breaking the ribs so they resembled blood-stained wings, and pulling the lungs out. Salt was sprinkled in the wounds. Victims of the blood-eagle ritual, as mentioned in skaldic poetry and the Norse sagas, are believed to have included King Ælla (Ella) of Northumbria, Halfdan son of King Haraldr Hárfagri of Norway, King Edmund, King Maelgualai of Munster, and possibly Archbishop Ælfheah.
The process is described here in Viking sources:
"Einar had his ribs cut from the spine with a sword and the lungs pulled out through the slits in his back. He dedicated the victim to Odin as a victory offering."--Orkneyinga Saga

Another fitting form of punishment I have heard of from the past is described as
"Taking the condemed to the top of the city wall, where they would have a iron hook attached to a rope made fast to the wall passed between their ribs. After slicing the condemed from throat to navel, they were thrown from the top of the wall and when the rope pulled taught the man's own weight would rip his body open and disembowel him alive."

Heck this country was outraged when the Michael Fay got canned in Singapore.

Living in Washington state. I have to say I not surprised. The state is a study in contrast. There is a range of mountains running North/South called the Cascades. Nice not too tall range, passes about 3000 ft. But going from one side to the other is a transition. On the west side, Seattle King County, and all the other Western Counties are Ultra liberal to leftest liberal. Orcas Island is a summer home get away for the well off of these groups.
Pass over to the east and it is Orchards, Wheat Farmers. Pure FDR Dem's that have more in common with the middle Republicans than the Dem's. If they catch Cretans doing that over there, it means Time. Theses, creeps get caught on Orcas and it'll mean "Bad Boy, No desert and loss of cell phone for a week"... Course, go up into the NE corner of the state and John Birch is alive and well as well as the Posse Comatits... Up there, those kind of punks have been known to just disappear...
Yeah, the state is a study in contrasts... Some of them extreme.

Stuff like this doesn't sicken me, it angers me, a lot actually. Veterans are those that gave them the right to freedom of speech, and they're going to grossly abuse that freedom to mock and disrespect those that gave them their freedom.
