I got to shoot up some desert this morning, main reason was to zero my scope. Man. if this is what a "cheap" Russian scope can do for me, I might get a better one and put a side rail on my PTR91. I completely forgot that the scope is not mounted over the bore, but to the left of it. Windage was fine, my guessing distance was the worst problem. A range finder is in my future.
You can adjust the knob for distance ie: if you think the range is 250 yards the knob is set to the mark between the 2 & 3. You the place the top chevron on the target. Or you can leave the knob at 1 (100m) and use the other two chevrons below the top, 2nd being 200m and 3rd being 300m. Dang thing works, too. When I could hold the rifle steady enough head sized rocks were in danger at 200 yards. I'll need to bring a table next time to use the bipod. That new 20 round mag worked perfectly, too. This is what the recticle looks like: It really looks better that that.

Is the 4 power lighted? I need to get a 4 power POSP for my AK's. I really like the POSP 6x42 I have on my PSL. They are a great scope for the money.

It has an led, but you can only see it when it's nearly dark. Not as good as some cheap Chinese scopes with leds, which really light up the recticle. I'm wondering if a change of bulb is feasible. It uses two 1.5V button batteries and has an on/off switch.

I bought one for my son's. It was $110.00 But a damn fine scope. I got it here: www.kalinkaoptics.com (http://www.kalinkaoptics.com) and they were the real Russian Made Optics. Very sturdy...
