Has anyone tried this? The issued sights are pretty much useless with my eyes.

Mojo sights are nice! I have a friend that has one on his AK, I've shot it and am thinking of getting one for mine. They are'nt bad on the eyes at all IMO.
You might get a little better price at their website. http://www.mojosights.com/index.html

The Enfield Ishapore sights are the worst sights I've ever seen on ANY rifle..
Let us know if you end up retrofitting yours...

This is what I got for my AK (similar, but MUCH cheaper),
I just wish they made them for the Ishapore.

I'll likely end up ordering the Mojo for my Ishapore (unless I can find a similar and cheaper option)
I'll post a range report if/when I get one.

If you wanted to use a scope there are some good mounts for enfields and Ishy 2a here, the Ishy mount utilizes the charging slot were the stripper clips fit a has a dovetail that is a real nice fit and the whole mount feels solid, no gunsmithing mount so no bubba points.:)

Nothings wrong with the #4 sights! It's the 2A and #1 sights that aren't that good.

I have one of the scope mounts, but it shoots loose quickly, and I can't find a way to make it secure short of altering the rifle.

I finally got the Enfield 2A with the Mojo sight to the range.
All I can say is, it's worth the price! It's very well made, and easily adjustable.
The rifle still looks close to original, but now I can actually see the rear sight clearly.
For those wanting a really cheap alternative, I saw an article in a recent Shotgun News where the writer filed out the notch in the rear sight and soldered on a small washer.
It doesn't look as sturdy, and isn't windage adjustable, but might be an acceptable backup sight on a scoped rifle.
I bought these sights for my AK's and Saiga:

They work, but don't seem too sturdy (but they are very reasonably priced).
If I had it to do over, I'd get these instead:

I've got a Mojo on a Swedish Mauser. They are a big help to my 66 year old eyes. And, I can quickly restore the rifle to its original configuration so I don't feel like a closet bubba.
