Me and my wife where sitting in a subway inside a walmart when i see a employee pulling out a small folding 22 pistol. Now from the time i ordered i know very well the language they where using was not english , not was it spanish. Now im not against anyone LEGALLY owning a firearm to protect themselves , but i have spoken to these people before and know they are not citizens, only here on work visas from sadia arabia. I havent told anyone with authority what i seen as it would be heresay but this greatly angers me when they know walmart has a no concealed sign on the front door but they didnt care. But being the manager was the one he was showing the gun to, i really dont think it would do any good, but it still ruffles my feathers when as usual we the honest try and somone like this will be another reason they use against our freedoms.Sorry to blow my steam here but thank you for listening.

In MN you can enter a business even if they have a no concealed weapons sign hanging in the front door. You have not committed a crime until someone notifies you to remove the firearm from the property. If you don't comply, THEN you have committed a crime. Kind of wierd they make they put up signs but they still must verbally notify you to leave before you get into trouble.

Rules are made for lawyers to argue! APATHY my fellow board members is what is dragging our country down. "If it don't affect me, I don't care" is the worst virtue in man.
:America: I feel my soapbox shaking.

That is basically the same here in Texas, unless you just so happen to walking to 51% establishment....you better turn right around and go back to the car.
With the exception of Law Enforcement or any other job where you have to carry a gun, how many of you have jobs that allow guns to be taken to work
? I know a certain board member that could lose his job if he has just one piece of brass in the back of his truck.
Like you said, you were not about to start anything, but you better be damn well sure I would be on the phone with the corporate office if I saw an employee with a gun at walmart.

Same as Kentucky. My CCW instructor flat out told us "ignore those signs".
In Ohio it's a crime to ignore the signs, and EVERY business has them, even parking garages. Kind of makes CCW in Ohio impossible.

If you don't like the rules - Don't go there. I have personally quit doing business with several stores in my area and have included a nasty letter to their management because of those signs and will continue to do so. I don't have a ccw permit, and probably won't apply. My advice is to put your money where your convictions are.

Nevertheless, I believe that if you own the property, you should be allowed to make the rules. I vote with my wallet. In Oklahoma, when the CCW legislation passed, Home Depot immediately put up "No Concealed Weapons" signs, while Lowe's put up signs to the effect that licensed concealed weapons were welcome (I forget the exact wording). After that, I never set foot into a Home Depot, and now that I live in Alaska where almost nobody prohibits concealed weapons, I still only consider Home Depot as a last resort.

Duly noted, but who owns a public school? Me as the taxpayer put money into them, so I am part owner, right? Is is who owns the bldg? The land it is on?

I agree completely. My comment was intended to apply to privately owned property. One of my rules is that if you visit my house, you have to be prepared to defend everyone in the house from miscreants to the best of your ability. If you don't like my rule, don't come.
