Hey Tanker, I think it's time to have a raffle to raise a little dough to help you with cost's. ( In other words : I feel the need to chip in and buy someone else a weapon, as I never win anything!)
OK, Y'all take it from here!

You can just send me the money and I'll buy a gun. Do you still have my address? I've got 3 guns I need to get built but I'd be up for a raffle of anything. Can always use more "stuff".

Someone got something to donate? We could run a raffle and spend the money on boxes for the deployed soldiers, including my wife :)

How does that strike ya'll?

Ok, Lemme dust off some stuff....

If anyone has something to raffle, the raffle money will first cover what you want to donate...then the rest can goto the troops. PM if you have something. I'm going to see what I want to part with.

I have a lightly used Charles Daly Field Semi auto 12 guage that I would put up. I have a replacement 12 in the safe already for it. I have run 200 rounds through it and it works perfect, 3 chokes, box, and paperwork. should get at least 250. for a good cause. Let me know where to send it and bid big!!!!!! :America::America::America::America::America::Amer ica:

As much as I would love to donate something, unfortunately, money is really tight.

What about maybe having an auction/sale that is set up like a consignment deal where a guy puts up something for sale and donates 10% of the sale price to the boards or something.

It could be a completely different FS section than the normal one. I would certainly post my stuff for sale there when I got a little bit ahead money wise.

Personally I would rather pay to enter a daffle on a firearm rather than a kit. Of course I'd be willing to kick in a couple fo bucks if someone is going to coordinate a board expenses/soldiers care package drive.

Heck, on a shotgun I'd go $20 a ticket.

I've noticed some mighty deep pockets here and some shallow ones too. Everyone wants to help and being a Christian or not, remember the Widow's Mite. It may hurt some to give 10 bucks and others may donate a 1200.00 rifle without a flinch. WE all want to give as best we can.
I've got little odds and ends to give so may lots of others. Put them on the For Sale board with payment to Tanker. For those who can provide a big ticket item, put it in a raffle.
:America: Just my VOTE! I'll support anyway I can. The more ways we can, the better.

Well, then, I'll go ~$49.98, just so me and K98 don't get into a p1$$ing match and I go broke.

As for the $.02, I'll toss mine in thusly: How about a STICKY regarding supporting this site? Maybe directions as to how to send funds via one of those PayPal-ish entities <NOT PAYPAL>, just for the hell of it, in case it goes too long between raffles...

DISCLAIMER/QUALIFYING STATEMENT: I *will* cough up the funds, raffle or no... but somebody might need to PM me or email me, if no response from me is noted in the thread, at the time, since I don't read threads that don't appear to have new messages....Honestly, I'm good for it, and I'd rather just send it TOMORROW than wait a week for a chance for a raffle I'm unlikely to win, and not contribute ANYTHING because my brain got lazy and forgot. It's Not like I'm ungrateful... stuff just gets away from me, and I'm glad I don't use PostIt notes, because it'd be a fire hazard and I'd never get to the bottom of the notes that read "Read earlier PostIt note". My brain works very fast; it just doesn't work very well.:sleepy:
