Are they a good rifle in the $600 price range? I am looking to get another AK and don't know much about these.

I haven't heard anything bad about them, but that's all I can say... I'm wondering where they're made.

Their 7.62x39 rifles are supposed to be pretty good. The AK74 clones have been cursed with US-made keyholing barrels. Otherwise I would jump on one!

The ad said that rifle is built by InterArms. The 74 rifles notorious for keyholing issues were put together by Century (CAI, or CIA to some).
The only "74" available from InterArms that I know of was a Tantal Clone and minus the "correct" features that enthusiasts like, they were solidly built rifles.
I think if that is built by InterArms, it should be good to go.
On the plus side, Atlantic Firearms has excellent customer service and should work out any problems that may arise.

I just bought an AR15 upper for $450. Add in the nickel boron BCG and CH and that's another $250. Add a rear sight for $60... I think you see where this is going... and it doesn't stop there. A quality upper alone is worth more than $600...
I want a complete rifle for that price in this case. I am really thinking about getting one of these...

my buddy has one, he paid around 500 for his, so look around and see if anyone besides atlantic sells it.
they are a nice rifle , i wouldnt call them a big step up from a imported romy with the new tapco g2 triggers ,brake, and mag .
both will last a heck of a long time , both are a blast to shoot, internal parts are in great shape and the onley thing that i seen on the IA ak that it has over the imported romy, is the finish is just alittle bit nicer
but either way, either one would be money well spent

Good to know. I thought the issue was with the US-made barrels, not Century's assembly.
