Don't know if this is an Urban Ledgend but it's funny

KILLER BISCUITS WANTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER (the actual AP headline)
>
> Linda Burnett, 23, a resident of San Diego, was visiting her in-laws and while there went to a nearby supermarket to pick up some groceries.
> Several people noticed her sitting in her car with the windows rolled up and with her eyes closed, with both hands behind the back of her head.
>
> One customer who had been at the store for a while became concerned and walked over to the car. He noticed that Linda's eyes were now open, and she looked very strange. He asked her if she was okay, and Linda replied that she'd been shot in the back of the head, and had been holding her brains in for over an hour.
>
> The man called the paramedics, who broke into the car because the doors were locked and Linda refused to remove her hands from her head. When they finally got in, they found that Linda had a wad of bread dough on the back of her head.
>
> A Pillsbury biscuit canister had exploded fro m the heat, making a loud noise that sounded like a gunshot, and the wad of dough hit her in the b ack of her head.
>
> When she reached back to find out what it was, she felt the dough and thought it was her brains. She initially passed out, but quickly recovered and tried to hold her brains in for over an hour until someone noticed and came to her aid.
>
> Linda is a blonde and a Democrat, but that could be irrelevant

Being a Southern Boy, I thought someone was sharing a recipe for some good biscuits. The old bait and switch. :icon_neutral:

I remember hearing the same thing. Mythbusters don't know it all! If any of you have used canned biscuits they just pop now. NOT 10 or more years ago! They used to explode when you whacked them on the counter. No BS here, Mom dropped a can on the floor once and had a biscuit stick to her leg! Safety thing I suppose. Make the paper thicker or...........
WTH, Can you tell I'm at work?

I checked on the Myth buster reference, they found it plausible. What they didn't find is any proof that any of the biscuits mistaken for brains incidents actually happenned. Shame, I could really imagine a democrat making that mistake.

You would think that if that rellay happened it may have occured to her that "wow, my brains are pretty sticky and feel just like the pillsbury biscuts I just purchased not moments ago"..."moreover, the open wound on the back of my head produces no pain nor gushes of blood whatsoever"...Blonde you say? No wonder...

If it is a friend of a friend or some other distant removed source, 90% of te time the story is apocryphal.

TO check a legend, you go to the site, then type the phrase ("killer biscuits" in this instance) into the search box, then click Search.

It is an entertaining and long running story.
