i dont know if it is of not. surely its a state by state thing.

BUT the story ive always heard is that in this country suppressors are on the "evil" list, (while in other countries they are not only not regulated, but in some cases required), is that the game commissions were worried they wouldnt be able to catch poachers.

Pretty amazing isn't it? We're required to have mufflers on cars, the one thing we have that kills more people than firearms, but we can't quiet down firearms without permission. I've often thought that if we could get OSHA involved that they might make suppressed noise on firearms a regulation for safety reasons. Thank you Hollywood.

None of the game animals were taken with a suppressor. I believe they are exotic or pigs, so are not regulated by the fish and game.

From what I was told while I was over there last year that their use is encouraged for hunting. But no one on a boat of over 150 hunted. I was for sure the crazy yank on the boat with my shotgun news and American rifleman magazines.

In TN it is legal for all game. As long as you follow all other proper rules (calibers etc). Also no magazine restrictions. And while I dont feel I need 20 rounds to hunt a deer, some of my guns small mags either are hard to get, not made at all, or have feed issues. So its nice to not worry.

Note, Migratory Birds are different, as they are regulated by the federal guidelines. I dont hunt them at the moment anyways.

Yeah, as far as I know you can shoot hogs with a suppressor, just not deer.
