OK guys i need some opinions on which maker of reciever i should go with on a Romy ak build. Please let me know the pros and cons of what you guys have built. Any recomendations would help greatly, as i will be starting to build a few pistol AKs after i finish my CETME

Why NodakSpud of course :)

$55 shipped per receiver (for the NDS-3 receiver for Romys)

Drop in fit.

Excellent quality.

Do you want a finished receiver, or would you want to try a flat? All my builds have been done with flats, either Tapco or Ak-Builder. I prefer the AK-Builder flats. Never done one with a finished receiver, so I wont comment on those. Remember this, if you would like to try a flat, but might decide against it due to lack of bending jig, hydraulic press, etc.., I'd be glad to give you a hand. I'm in Maple Valley.

thanks for the offer bullet. But i want to go with finished recievers just for ease and legality reasons. I know it is legal to build your own reciever, but in case anything happens i want to be able to prove it is a pistol reciever, and not a rifle reciever. Washington does not aloow SBRs from what i have read. So better safe than sorry.

Make sure your FFL logs it in as a pistol, or receiver only. Then logs it out to you as a pistol. (I'm not sure if he can log it out as a receiver only). If it's ever logged as a long gun, then you legally can't build a pistol off of it.

If building a pistol order NDS-6 receivers. They are not advertised on NoDak Spuds site but they are designated pistol receivers based on the NDS-3 receivers.

For anyone else, just having the FFL log it out as a pistol receiver is fine.
