All,
Sorry I have been slow in responding to the PM's/E-mails.
I just got married on the 7th, and I'm just now getting back
to business as usual...well kinda. Anyway, I have replied to all
the E-mails I received while I was gone. Any more questions,
let me know.
Thanks,
Slinger
PS: You can also get "all steel" bi-pods
here: http://www.dsarms.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PM083
I have been told they work well. YMMV!!

Any source for a buttstock of the same shade of OD green?
Are these Paki, Greek, or Turkish, any idea?

will fit ptr 91 wont it? Does anyone know if the dsa bipod for use with these handgaurds will fit ptr also...i know they have a thicker barrel
jfowl31
01-07-2008, 05:49 PM
they will fit a PTR just fine... honestly I'm quite a bit confused as to what part of the PTR is "heavy" seeing as all the barrel accessories fit just like they do a normal Cetme or G3 barrel... sorry for the OT, but yes Dave, you're good to go for a PTR with wide handguards. The bipod attaches to the handguard and not the barrel, so no difference there either.

can anyone give measurement from the pin that retains handgaurd to the front edge of reciever, i am afraid i might have the short ptr that the handgaurd is shorter? I have a g-3 handgaurd and noticed its too long to fit,so........
thedave8
02-03-2008, 06:40 PM
Jason, looking at the ptr website, mine appears to be a ptr-91 K........ does this mean i cant make your handguard fit? I hope not, i already ordered the bi pod to go with it.....

Dave,
If a standard G3 handguard is too long, then the Wide HG is going to
be too long as well. I have never seen a PTR 91 that couldn't take one
of the wide handguards. Can you post some pics?
Slinger
PS: The dimension I have is about 11-3/8".

will try to post picks shortly......that figures, now i got that damn bi pod coming.....:crying: and i cant use it......myrifle has their aluminum forearm that you can attach rails to...9 1/8th inches long....Arrrrrrrgh

yep... thats a PTR-91K (karabiner/Carbine). Too bad about it not being the correct one... on a brighter note, I always thought those carbines were wicked cool.

I was thinking about you the other day. I saw the CETME that I installed your hand gaurd on and wondered if you were still around, if you were still selling these.
These are good solid handgaurds, with a place to mount a bi-pod, for anyone interested.
Glad to see your still here.
