Sig 556 with 550 Buttstock, New?

Saw a Sig 556 Classic with a Sig 550 butt stock on it. The stock and rifle has some wear marks on it but the salesman said it was new. It had a bayonet lug on it and came with a bayonet.
Could this be a new gun where some distributor installing the 550 stocks on them? Or could it a use gun where someone installed a 550 stock on it?

Sounds like the Sig551a1 - essentially a 556 with a 550 stock and uses the rock and lock sig mags (pricey!). Guess it just came out recently...

This one was a converted one before the new Sig551a1 came out.
