I found a bag of 147 gr Black Talon bullets at a reloading shop a while back and wondered if anyone had a clue about the specs of the original load for these. I have some nice .357 nickel +P brass to load them in and a 6" Ruger GP-100 to shoot them out of. :) I will load them all and test fire 10-12 to see how they shoot, then the rest will go in the wife's pistol to carry and the headboard pistol. I would use 17 grains of W-296 over a small pistol magnum primer. Should get about 1600 FPS out of the 6".

With that said, I did not find any data for that bullet in that weight and W-296 is a funny powder. You NEVER want to use a reduced load. I extrapolated between the 125 gr and the 158 grain load.

Use this information at your own risk. Do some research at the various sites to come up w/a load.
