new 2007 production, 145GR FMJBT BOXER PRIMED, NON-CORROSIVE. The brass is fully reloadable. Packed 20 rounds per box and 200 rounds per factory sealed clear plastic pack. It just gets better..... THE BULLET IS COPPER JACKETED, NOT STEEL

Sounds like good reloading and shooting ammo...

The web site says it's 7.62, but the boxes are labled .308 Winchester. Is this Milspec ammo?

M80 7.62X51 - 308 Winchester Military Ammunition

BRAND NEW MANUFACTURE!! When this stuff hit the warehouse, the boss took four rifles and a case of this ammo and he was gone for half a day! This ammo in NOT MIL SURP! It is brand new 2007 production, BOXER PRIMED, NON-CORROSIVE. The brass is fully reloadable. Packed 20 rounds per box and 200 rounds per factory sealed clear plastic pack. It just gets better..... THE BULLET IS COPPER JACKETED, NOT STEEL!!!!!!!!! IT IS just super ammo. Fantastic bargain. PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING CHARGES.

UPDATE, AMMO TEST 5-09-07. What a beautiful spring day. I shot this ammo all day. It is truly the finest 308 military ammo I have ever shot including Lake City. It was super accurate. I shot a 3" 10 round group with our M1A and my poor eyesite at 100 yards. The once-fired brass cases we extremely clean after firing and I have absolutely no malfunctions in over 200 rounds fired in an M1A, FN-FAL, Rem 700 and a D&S FAL machine gun. NONE! Chronograph readings follow. Rifle used was a standard M1A rifle. 1st string FPS= 2752, 2689, 2675, 2761, 2753, 2715, 2719, 2731, 2734, 2776. 2nd string = 2774, 2769, 2683, 2757, 2776, 2807, 2819, 2768, 2782, 2754. Conclusion? Definite 1st class ammo. Brass reloads, too. The Yugo ammo plants know how to make 1st class ammo. - Stan Widener

rpmfly2, are they nato stamped on the head, or just marked with either 7.62x51 or .308 win. The difference if its commerical .308 and 7.62x51 should be in the case thicknesses, to prevent head seperation in military weapons. Also some commerical cases are not annealed(those those look to be), as bolt action rifles dont need it. Another mil specification would be to seal the bullets, and the primers to pass a water test for so many hours and still function. I am sure there are more, you would be amazed at the hoops that ammo is worked, to ensure meeting the mil standards.

I am sure there is a huge specification packet and DIMWAR outlineing the loading, and packing of mil specification ammo, atleast here in this country by the US Army, and in NATO, by the STANAG group, which in most ways is the international defacto owner of the cartrage spec, as the us stuff follows that.

This stuff was at the both gunshows I've done in the last two weeks. It was going for $140-$160 a plastic pack. I also saw some of the same ammo in a green plastic pouch that was made to look similar to South African, but without the handle. It went for about the same price.

By the way, The-Armory.com has one 200rd case left of Winchester Q3130 @ $113. The only reason I know is because I just ordered a couple of packs.
