The parts will wear in, but I would not do it by shooting, just sit in front of the TV for a few nights and hand-cycle it a few hundred times each night. That should get the parts mated up nicely and the bolt gap should drop into where it is supposed to be.
maybe if you have either new locking piece, bolt head, rollers you could try used ones

Has this rifle been newly assembled? I have read multiple times that builders will set the initial bolt gap to .022 or so because after you fire it the first time the gap will drop by as much as .007.

install a full mag and pull trigger till empty .........
hand cycling wont do it .. it doesn't have the "kick" to beat and compress the metals to seat the internals...
i would install a full mag .. chamber round a nd fire a round every 3-5 seconds .... and then check yer bolt gap ....
when i did my mp5kds it had almost .30:icon_eek:. i had to run 6 mags on max buzz to get it to settle down .......

If you have new parts, try an old bolthead. Or buy undersize rollers as you are trying to do. While waiting on either one to arrive in the mail, I would try to dry cycle since you won't hurt anything and may well see it fall to .022 or so at which point you can load a mag and seat it the easy way! drine
