Got this recently, a Spanish AITOR Cuchillo De Monte. Nice knife but it didn't have the original sheath.
What I really like is the crest on the blade and bottom of the grip.

The Aitor's actually have some pretty good steel in them... I have a couple of those and a Muela. I keep one in the survival gear bag in the 4x4 and the other one in my survival bag for the plane. The Muela is in the bottom of my hunting butt pack as a spare workhorse, to keep from doing bad things to the edge on my gutting skinning knife.

Wow, that's a hefty looking blade! I have a Wilkinson survival knife that is sorta similar with the sawback. That one is way meaner, though.
i picked these up back in the mid 80's on a high school field trip to spain.:icon_biggrin:

I bought a Muela knife back in the late 80's the knife was made of good steel, but the sheath was kind of crappy as i remember. Nice knives both of you.

I like that Montero in fact they have been original army issue in certain units. Here is a "Matador" from Aitor it's one of the old ones made for hunting with the best materials an a design that hsen't changed since the middle ages,it's very nice and classic, and below is the original mesh kit that was given to me when i was serving in the spanish army.
