I think the front trunion is different?

Pretty sure the trunnion and gas block location are different. I know the handguards and gas tube don't interchange.

You could use the entire front barrel assembly, just press the romanian barrel if the diameters are right into the yugo trunion(I wont lie, I have some of each at home but am at work posting this), or switch out the entire gasblock front and rear sb and place on to the romy barrel, this is if the gas ports are in the same place and the barrels have the same contour. I remember the big sell that cfs had was a romy barrel with a yugo uf kit, for the longest time.

EDIT Wait a minute, I think I am backwards on this post.

Why press a yugo bbl into a romy rifle? The Romy 's chrome lined, the Yugo i not.

Is it because you have the parts laying around?

I'm thinking of having a rifle built but moving everything back like a Krink and just have the barrel sticking out. then I can SBR it, cut off the barrel and recrown it. The yugo's dont have the gass hole drilled.

Of course I'm going to cut the barrel anyway I could just not worry about the old gas hole, it would be kinda like a magna port :)

THat might be pretty cool.

Instead of a brake, you could just machine a few more holes into the bbl there, make it 'ported'

The Yugo barrel will fit the Romy trunion, but the Yugo sight block ears are too big. You'll need to trim trunion ears (inside) where the sight block would slide into.

If I am not mistaken the barrels have a different diameter. I will check later today and let you know for sure.

They should both be 23mm in the trunnion.

Actually, here's an old post from another board. They used a Romanian barrel assembly in a bulged Yugo Trunnion.

You are right. They are both 23mm. I was thinking the Yugo was bigger for some reason.
