I left work an hour early today to go to my local gun pimp to pick up my latest pistol, a Steyr-Hahn M1912 semi-auto chambered in 9mm Steyr. With impeccable timing, I followed the FEDEX ground delivery driver into the shop - delivering the pistol. Unfortunately the seller forgot to include a copy of his ID/license in the box so I couldn't take it home with me...

To lighten the depression of not getting what I ordered; I saw some items on the counter and poked around them...finding this:

a still sealed Springfield Armory, Inc. M1A cleaning kit...without a price tag. When I asked how much; the counter guy said "what do you think its worth?" I got it for $20 cash, out the door. A good deal; but not the major score I thought I'd get; I just checked their website and they want $28 (plus shipping) for it. Still a good deal though, now I don't have to buy a combo tool or chamber brush!

You did well. The combination tool and the chamber brush are "must have" items for the M14.

Sorry about the bad luck with the pistol. You should call the seller and chew his butt...

I told him feces occurs and he sent it out via e-mail...no reason to get fired up over a slight error - I will have the pistol today...

Thats a nice score though! Now break out the FM to get it all to fit into the buttstock.
