I begin to wonder, I havent had a good chance to shoot in a while, since last fall. But since then I have bought a great many firearms, I think maybe over twenty or more since then and havent shot a one. Is there a firearms owners program, for those of us who hare adicted to these things, firearms, accesories, and ammo. I work with munitions all day, and one of the hobbies I have is the stuff too. Heck, some one point me in the right direction. Lets set up a nice program to cure us of this affliction
Ah heck no, I guess I will just keep buying the stuff and ammo, if I dont get to use them, my survivors can just have a good table at a couple of big gunshows, right!! :)

Kind of like not finishing your beer! It wouldn't sound near as bad if you shot them now and again. :icon_biggrin:

If you get too much ordnance you can always send some my way. I've actually sold off a few things to justify my growing collection. It's one disease I don't mind having.

Yes, yes there *is* a support program already in place for people with problems such as you are encountering.
We send you the name/address of our nearest FFL, and, whenever you need support in these buying-binges, you merely have the item you covet shipped to one of US, so you won't be befuddled by its presence. Then, once you have shot all the weapons in current inventory to the point that you are satisfied you have your "habit" under control, PM whover has your hardware, requesting its return. If indeed you seem to have gotten a grip, the person may soon reply to your PM regarding return-shipping arrangements.
Similar arrangements are available for fine cigars and distilled spirits, except that they probably won't be returned.
Hope this helps....

Ive got the same issues, but its not my fault. The only ranges available wont let me shoot any ammo that attracts a magnet or more than one shot every 5 seconds. They call cease fires so often for new targets its hard to get sights set before you have to put the guns in the rack, remove mags lock open actions and insert a chamber flag etc.

:icon_neutral: I have that problem too. Many rifles, lots of ammo, but no regular range time. It sucks. I haven't been out to a range yet this year.

Sounds like something that could easily be cured by a good felony conviction or Injunction for Protection. I think there's already a program in place for those.

I't funny you mention this okie, cause I just started a Big Shooter program to help out firearms that don't have enough attention plus it take the worry away from firearm owners like yourself who feel they don't have enough time to spend with their beloved firearms, yet feel that they deserve more time at the range.
Here's how it works, I show up at your place, pick up your firearms and appropriate ammo, then I spend the afternoon with them taking them out and having fun. I return the firearms to you later in the day.
The good part about this program....is that it is absolutly free. Just PM me and we can set up a time to do this....after all....it's for the firearms, isn't it?

If you guys want to see demil, I dont just mess with the little stuff here, I have a new project, going now, each single round we take care of produces almost one thousand lbs of High Explosive and we are aiming for eightteen or more a day, fun fun fun.
Some days I feel like bugs bunny in the cartoon where he gets the job in the ordnance plant(I think its the "gremblin from the Kremblin" or something like that, a wwII one), with his ears plugging his ears, he pulls the lever, the artillery shell comes into place, he hits it with a hammer while shuttering, writes dud on it, pulls the lever and the next one come along, he says, "Eh its a living".

Heh. I've got the opposite prob of you and WW, okie. I get out so much, I can't afford the new rifles cause I'm burning ordinance at an alarming rate! In the last 4 months or so, I've shot:
1000+ of 762x39
300+ of 762 NATO
900 of 762x54R
I shoot $100/mo at least on ammo, sometimes much more.
I have easy wekend access to the shore (50yd, sometimes 100yd) range, and go 3 of 4 weekends a month. about every other month, I make it out to the long range, and shoot more ammo there in 5 hrs than i do in 2 normal weekends.
So, I can't stockpile milsurps at the rate youse guys do, but I sure get to shoot em! (I only have 6 milsurps curently in 3 cals)
I didn't add in the skeet and pistol we do too...

Lots of people collect stamps they don't intend to use and coins they don't intend to spend. At least you intend to shoot your guns...someday. You're not as pathological as they are!

You just have to say no to guns. :nonono:
What you could do is everytime you come across a good deal you could just let us buy it out from under you instead of buying it yourself. Think of this as a support group.
Myself, I'm a recovering AK builder in a 12 step program. Just have to finish this one last Romy AK. I have to admit I been eyeballing RPK kits...would that be cheating? :icon_confused:

i guess i don't see the problem, i have several that have never been shot, a few that have been fired 3-4 rounds and a few that have had 30-40 rounds thru them. then there is a few i really like to shoot and maybe they have had 100 rounds thru them. most have only been out of the safe to be moved to north texas or for a hurricane 1-2 times in 20-25 years or i took a few out to take a picutre of them.
i really enjoy shooting them, but i cannot physically do much of it any more. so while you are young shoot all you can. ( your gun and your rifles )
bottom line is buy what you can and only sell when you can buy some more or a better one and don't forget to buy ammo and parts.
oh and by the way when you get old like me you can start selling the extras ( your collection) off to your friends so they can take care of them for 30-40 years.
