July 9th - National Buy A Gun Day.

Word is that the UN has set up July 9th as a day to "gather and destroy small arms." So in response, some have decided to call it National Buy A Gun Day. I don't have any money, otherwise I would join in. However, I am going to see if I can go shooting that day. :2pistol: links bellow about the destruction day:

I applaud their desire to make the world a safer place, I just don't know if burning guns would really do that.

Unfortunately, I don't think many of those advocating destruction of small arms have any realistic views of what it might take to make the world a safer place.

I think some who are among the elite of various nations are strictly interested in making the world safer for themselves--by eliminating the possibility of successful revolution or regime change.

I believe others are fairy-tale-believing idealists who think if we ban guns, the criminals and terrorists will turn theirs in.

I prefer that neither of the above groups have any decision-making powers over any aspect of my own life, guns or otherwise.

As for me, ANY day that I find something interesting that I can afford is Buy-A-Gun-Day.

Well I missed the date but I am planning an event like this myself so please contribute to this very worthy cause and send your small arms to me and I will make sure they are.. uh... destroyed.. yeah that's it ..they will all be destroyed and you will feel safer for it! Thanks for your support!

Jumped the gun a bit and bought a Bodyguard 380 early since they were on sale for $320 locally. Still need to try it out next week. :)
