Price of brass!

My dealer friend sold a mixed batch of .308 brass,(mil.surp. and com.) for $175 a 1000 at the Portland,OR. show this week-end. Was not that long ago you could get loaded rounds at that price!!

wow, thats good money. i have to get my happy ass up I-5 and do some shopping this summer. i have about bought out all the surplus down here.

I just bought a 50 round bag of new .284 brass yesterday for $50.00.

Turbothis, you missed some surplus. Found half a case .308 in Lebanon for $4.50 a box, bought it all,(non-indian). And in Philomath, an old dusty 640rd. ammo. can of indian hidden under a shelf for $75 the owner forgot to mark up.Yes I know about indian but it's good for trading. In Springfield I found 2700 170gr. .30 cal Oregon trail bullets, they came home with me also. good for plinking over 10grs. Red dot. Two months ago I got some loose SA .308that was in plastic baggies, 50rds. in each bag. I bought it all, 10 bags for $7.50 each. Someone had put them in a box marked 8mm. A good score!!!

good find, but i am at the bottom of oregon. all bullets down here are spendy.
