Got the Poly-Tech scoped ,sighted in and ready to rock. Millet 4x16x50 side foucus. Started out hitting low on target had to work my way up,went to high and came back down. Shooting sub MOA with SA! I still need to get a trigger job on it though.

Nice looking rifle there K98, but er... the bullet holes are all over the paper, so I can't quite see sub-MOA, although I'm sure it's buried in there somewere.

Well as I said that is the sight in target. Each grid is one inch square.Target at 100 meters. Started out at the bottom of the target, fired a few rnds, then adjusted the elevation and windage.Went too high and had to come back down. Those are groups of three or so shots each, not just blazing away with a mag full. The final group is at the bottom of the bulls eye. See it now?

Jawohl! Looks good.

Are you going to make a chance to stretch the Poly out to 600 yards?

Jawohl! Looks good.

I would like to very much. The longest range near me is only 300 yrds though. So I will have to travel a bit to do it.

If I sounded a bit strident there it was because I decided to add the highlighted target after I had posted the text. Sorry, should of deleted the "see it now?"

Thanks for the comments on the stock guys!

I need a cheek pad and a trigger job on it. The trigger pull is pretty stout. Anybody have Bill Springfields addy? I want him to do my FAL trigger also.

K98,
I have Bill's Address around here somewhere, I will dig it up and forward to you and post it as well.
I put a Blackhawk cheek pad on my NM M1A. It really helped after I boosted it up a little with some foam used for cutting out around tools in a roll away drawer. And I am adding a pic of my Polytech rifle (Tiger stripe) from planning so he can see what it looks like.

Cool, I love my millet I'm glad I waited for it. I couldn't find anyone who carried them in stock. Waited 4 months and finally got a call back from one of the vendors so I jumped on it. Let me know who you get to do your trigger job as I would like to get one done also.

What kind of upgrades did you get?

NM flash suppressor,NM front and rear sights.
Also Sadlak titanium coated spring guide, and all Wolff springs.

I have yet to get that trigger job for the USGI trigger group I added for parts compliance, or the gas system unitized. I have got so many projects going, I haven't finished this one.

hey man

think about these kydex cheek welds. shoots up just enough for my eyes to see through the scope. very comfortable... but you'll have to drill the stock.

I have a black hawk cheek pad on it now. I do not want to drill into the tiger strip stock.
I like the cheek weld to be lower then most people do as I wear prescription glasses and if the cheek rest is to high,I am looking through the upper corner of my glasses too much and get distortion. I still have not decided if I do better with out anything on the stock. You get used to a chin weld shooting those commie scoped rifles!

I have been thinking of getting one of those for my glass stock though. Somebody else makes those also, but I think your guy has a better price.

That is a handsome weapon there Henry!

I have got to get my but in gear and get some photos up. I may need to call you Henry for some help as I am computer illiterate.K98 I have a blackhawk cheek pad and use foam pipe insulation to raise the rest up a little. Shot the gun again this weekend and dang I love that millet scope. It is very clear. And the power range is awesome.

K98 thanks I'll try it when I get home. I took a really cool pic of the m1a during deer season and want to get it up to show everyone. Yes I hunt with my m1a. A little heavy but from a tree stand its an awesome hunting gun.
