I haven't seen any retail "new" in a while, but secondary market prices of $525-$675 is what I've seen recently.

i saw one at the local pawn shop,,,was asking $799.. didn't look like it had any bolt gap,,, didn't check just looked mighty close... i said something to the clerk and he acted like i was full of it,,,the rifle did have some nice wood on it
better check it over really well if you are going to buy,,,for me if i couldn't take it apart at the store,,, i don't think it would be coming home.... just me

At the local gunshop there are two new CAI SS receiver ,wood stock with loudener Cetme rifles stickered at $570..cash price.
I just paid $525 (free shipping) on Gunbroker.com for a used gun and from what I've seen on the Internet market I was glad to get the price. New ones seem to be in the $650 to $750 range. From what I've seen prices are going steadily up. I can't see them going too much higher unless the PTRs go higher.
BTW, I just saw this one. It's pretty loaded https://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976893707.htm#

If you can even find them, and you can't assume for that price you're gonna get a good one or one with any BG, or an unground bolt.
Its a dicey mkt 4 them now. I had a buddy who got one off a friend for 400, and it looked nice, good bbl, good welds, etc, but could not get that thing to show any BG at all...tried all sortsa parts, new and swpapped from my CETME...
THe advice of some forum mmbers here was---sell it.

you've proven it to work before...remember whan you sold off 14K 762x39 during that dry spell last year?
1. Buy low.
2. Sell high
3. Profit.
Its the Capt' Ron creedo!

Amen to that, especially with buying off the Net. I wouldn't buy a gun from an Internet seller without an inspection period/return option. Everything may end up just fine but you can't begin to even have an idea without taking the gun apart and taking calipers and gap gauge to it. That's where I'm at right now. My return option does not include firing so I'm going to commit the the gun after the visual/caliper inspection is finished, which it now is. But to have that initial return option to me is crucial but still is no guarantee that you will have a working rifle.
So much to learn!
I got my CETME about a month ago for $400. They had one more with wood on it for $450 I`m not sure if they still have it. Or the condition. I know I spent $100 to get mine up and runnin, but now it works great. The stores name is A-pawn in Grand Junction Co.

Hmm.. I forgot I posted this...
Thanks for the help!
Other angle. I am thinking of selling mine.
Its a CAI Black stock CETME.
The barrel had been cut. I recrowned it (very nicely I might add, Both a 90% and then an 11%. Came out perfect) and soldiered on a FH. Looks and works great (No threads because barrel was to thin once cut). Bayonet ring still fits around tip of FH. Unground bolt with Bolt Gap of .010" or .011". Small crack in the rear stock. Bayonet lug stalled...etc. Everything painted to match. USA parts: Receiver, Hammer, (1 or two sears, does not count to the count), Butt stock, Handguard, Mag body, Follower, and Floor plate. Giving you 10 Foreign, 7 US and 3 NA for your US parts count... making it legal. Good welds and everything is on straight.
Also included would be one Original Mag in parts and a nicely sanded and Poly wood butt stock and handguard. All would count as foreign parts but are painted to match.

My favorite local gunshop has a stamped Cetme for $499. It's black stocked and has the neutered barrel (cut and turned down). I thought about seeing if they'd take $450 for it if the gap is good. Thing is I already have a good SS Cetme LE and a Century G3....
