Here's a novel idea, how about they just enforce the laws we already have about trafficking guns instead of breaking them in order to get new ones on the books. $50 says they're involved in F&F along with the other "operations" and trying to distract from the investigation.

I read the text of the bill and I can't for the life of me see anything it really does. Everything in it is already illegal. Am I missing something?

This was exactly what fast & furious was supposed to do by design. Wow , surprising that they all have a (D) by their name. Time for some gubment exlax! Let's get rid of some waste! 2012 :)

I had the same issue, but they must have some underlying goal if they want to propose something like this.
