As much as I love RTG's stuff, the bayonet being such an impractical rifle attachment, I'm looking for something cheaper. Used would be fine.

Any leads or sales pitches welcome!

Would a cetme bayo meet your needs? There available for around $10-15.

Numrich has them brand new for $31.45

Numrich G3 Bayonet Link (http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=730690&chrSuperSKU=&MC=)

http://www.robertrtg.com/g3.html has the best price that I have seen on the adaptors $18 each.

Yeah, the Numeric price is right, but the two I got were pretty used... I got two nice ones from this guy three months ago: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=73973136 for the same price he's listing now and they were new. $40 ea.
I've gone on and made four other purchases from him for other HK parts. All new or only slightly used. Best price I've found for a lot of HK stuff.

Thanks for the replies, guys!

I got an bayonet lug from Robert last year. The CETME bayonet looks a little more 'practical', though I'm not sure the lug/ cleaning-kit tube wound fit the later-style G3 cocking tube. Anyway, I ordered a G3 bayonet from Cope Dtistributors for around $30. I'll letcha know what it's like.

They still have the SA mags? I noticed they stopped running the add for the good ones, so assumed they just had those dodgey M14 mag conversions you see all over gunbroker left.

Thanks ocharry!

I just found the mags on their website (they are listed under HK91 and not G3).

I've ordered the SA 30 rounder - these were apparently made by the South Africans in the 1980s for their allies in Namibia or Angola. Hopefully the quality will be good.

The other mags are BAD quality US converted M14 mags. I think Longhorn has some horror stories related to these.

Anyway, I'll post in a seperate thread when mine arrives :)
