No, I do shoot there on ocassion but I was referring to Pops gun Range on US 27 in broward county, its private but guests are ok.

OK guys, this is a shout out to all the good old Florida boys and girls to find out who wants to have a Get togeather/shoot, or maybe a build party.

I am taking suggestions on locations and dates, and I have offered my garage as a build party location if that is what you want to do.

I would like to suggest a weekend in late July or August for the date, but it will be what is most agreeable to everyone.

Lets take this opportunity to meet the folks behind the wisecracks, and have some fun.

Hi Rusty. Welcome home. I'd be in for either. But have a preference for the build party. I have a cetme that I have issues with. I just had shoulder surgery last week. So August would be good for me. I'll help all I can with planning and the party or shoot if it's needed. I'm just down the road so let me know.

I'd be interested in something like that. It would have to be late in August to work for me. If it's a build party, I can bring whatever tools I can fit in the Jeep. Have a 12T press, drill press, maybe a Mig welder, etc.

Some basic rivet jigs and a bending jig are on my to-do list. I see if I can get it done in the next few weeks.

I can bring a trigger guard jig, barrel pin jig, barrel removal jig, barrel installation jig, bolt cutter rivet tool (not the greatest but it functions) and other odd and ends. Chime in with a list of what is needed and I may have it, can make it or borrow it. I just don't have anything to build right now :icon_mad: but hope to real soon:icon_biggrin:

Well Walt, it sounds like you have the AK rivetting jigs covered.

Nah, not all of them. I don't have a long/rear rivet jig, and after using a friends bolt cutter rivet tool I found mine leaves alot to be desired. Oh and no flat jig either but I may have one in the works soon.
