I have no interest in this GunBroker transaction...
save passing on information.
A member looking for a possible good CAI CETME deal
may want to give this a look-over >
@ the time of this posting – 1 day left/$499.00 bid.

Reasoning:
- cast receiver... from -
- St. Albans, VT CAI production run / as opposed to Georgia, VT run
seller has been offering these lately w/ no reserve... last rifle went for about $530.
- seller has over 250 gunbroker transactions, w/ no negative – no neutral feedback.
Note: St. Albans reference -
1st production run at former facility.
Years back, when starting our CETME collections...
I split an order of 8 units w/ another administrator from CETMERIFLES.
All my subsequent CETME purchases have been CAI St. Albans cast.
Have always been delighted.
Parts kits for builds are usually superior.
Never experienced a ground bolt, canted sight, out of wack cocking tube,
used up FCG, bent recoil rod or bad barrel.
Remember... these were the 1st CETME's made for sale,
before the stamp tooling was on-line...
retailed around $700, and were designed to compete in that $$$ marketplace.
Reason dictates that they(CAI) did not use the “bottom of the barrel” kits
out of the gate for their new offering.
It wasn't until later that the stamped receiver and the ensuing price drop
(read in also quality drop) occurred.
Although a few years ago these could be found offered in bulk for 250-300...
I would personally tolerate 500-550 as fair price today...
especially since experience has shown few inherent problems with this production run.
YMMV
