In my days as a bassist 4 a metal band, we played Decatur over by the Tracks on the industrial side of town at a little place caled the Hall of Justice...anybody from Decatur know if it is still there?

The only tracks near the "industrial" area that I think you are referring to would be at 22nd st up by what use to be the Firestone plant. (closed down now). There isnt any halls there in that area. I grew up in Harristown just west of decatur and been in this area my whole life since 1971 except for my 4 years of sufferage in the Navy. :America:

living in Bloomington now, but lived in Ottawa, Mendota, Aurora, and City of Chi. It is definitely more gun friendly here in BLM-Normal than it was in Aurora or ChiTown (obviously) But still not as much going on here as you might think.

Saw someone else on this thread from Indy. Now that is where I am looking to move to. I am a city boy, but I am conservative...sort of an oxymoron, I know. But Indy is where it is at. A large city with small town values and conservative roots. I go there quite a bit and love it. Besides, it cheapest major housing market in the US for 16 consecutive quarters and you can find crazy deals on houses there compared to here in IL.

Lived in Peoria for a while...that town is now deep-sixed. Edwards, Washington, and BLM/Normal were cool to visit.

I am VERY familiar with Edwards and Washington. Grew up in both towns.

I worked in East Peoria and lived in Peoria(91-92) after I returned from over-seas. Washington and Dunlap are still my favorites though. Still can't find anywhere to shoot around there.

Don't hold it against me, Chicago. A whole lot of 2nd Amendment defenders here.

Moved to Champaign from NC about a year ago. They are hard on rifle shooting up here! I only own one shotgun and they seem to be easier to find a place to shoot. Found a range west of bloomington that is pretty nice.
