I got my Israeli light barrel handguards and stock today. After I put them on I looked at it and just wondered how it would look if I could fit it so the bipod would work. It does look pretty cool and it folds nicely, but the bipod mount is loose and will rotate 360 degrees. There is a semi-circular shim or spacer on the barrel just past the gas block that keeps this from happening when the bipod is in the normal place on the barrel. If I could shim under the bipod mount it would tighten it so it would not rotate. Would the bipod this far down the barrel give me any problems while firing? Has anybody done this?287352873628737

Looks good. It may mess up barrel harmonics but only a good range trip will show that. I hate to tell you to do anything permanent but you need a stop to keep that mount from rotating. Maybe someone can figure a non-permanent way to do that.

Might change the barrel harmonics .... Wait .... There's a light barrel version of the Izzy hand guard?!? Cool! Where'd we get that?
Shoot it and see what effect it has. I have one of the spring loaded plastic bi-pods for my AR and it doesn't seem to have a adverse effect out toward the end.

I can't shoot it this weekend. My gas adjustment broke Wednesday. Should get new one from DSA next week,:icon_biggrin: handguards compliment of Sarco.

Looks great!! I've looked at Sarco's adds ten dozen times and never noticed the standard sets.

That's what I'm concerned with. I don't want to damage the barrel. It looks cool, but I probably won't shoot it that way. Just messin' around and havin' fun.

It won't hurt it other than maybe the finish. Most squad automatics have the bipod on the front as well as the IZZY heavy barrel. I'd shoot it that way. I disagree with the norm and say that a bipod can make you shoot more accurate.......in certain situations.
