I just scoped and sighted in a 527 in 223 for my son. Nice rifle. If the 7.62x39 shoots as nice as this one you won't be disappointed.

I thought either Kevin or Hunter had one.

My friend has the .223 model and he shoots pretty good with it.

I don't know if it is standard or extra but it has an adjustable trigger. I can't remember the proper name for it but you can push the trigger forward until it clicks and it is a match trigger with no slack and reduced pull.

The one I'm looking at has that trigger.

I threatened to get a Remington 799 in 7.62x39 and never did but I am still sitting on a few Lapua brass just in case. I think that the better of the two was actually the CZ but the Remington butt stock fit me a little better and the difference wasn't that great a deal.

I thought about getting one too but maybe later. I remember a Mauser K98 that was modified to use 7.62x39 also.

My brother had one, it was pretty sweet. Real nice trigger, and about as accurate as you could hope for shooting a 7.62x39mm. The light weight and low recoil made it a great hiking/brush gun.
It worked great on varmints, but I couldn't recommend it for deer. It took my brother 3 shots to take down the last doe he shot with it.

i have the rifle that you are refering to. it has the set trigger that you spoke of and i really like it. i put a vx-lll 3x9 scope on it and at two hundred yards it is still sub moa most of the time. hope you enjoy yours.

That is called a single set trigger. After a slight push foward it is set up for a very low pull creep free firing. Never set it until you are ready fo shoot. It is very touchy after it is set...OK for shooting but you don't want to be walking around with it set.
Double set triggers. in contrast, have two triggers. Pulling the first one "sets" the second one for the same light short pull.
Both of these designs have been popular in Europe for over a century. In my opinion, they are probably no longer necessary with the advent of safer and cheaper designs like the Savage Accu-trigger. That having been said, those CZ's are darn fine rifles that have few equals at their price.
I have long been interested in that CZ in 7.62x39 and I would love to try one. However, the cartridge does have inherent accuracy limitaions and it's application, in terms of range and killing power is limited.

I bought one a few weeks ago just waiting for a redfield 2x7 scope very accurate with open sights

Finally took my Cz 527M 762x39 to the range, I mounted a sightron 1.25x5 scope on it. Sighted it in with winchester white box fmj's at 50 yards they yielded 1.5 inch groups, then I said what the heck I switched to hollow point brown bear and got 3/4 inch groups.
I must say that the brown bear was way hotter and recoil was increased. I am very happy with my new brush deer/hog gun.
