recievers.... hmmmmm

hey guys, im going to be building a g3 and a cetme very soon and im just feeling the place out for recievers.

are my options pretty much just the century cast or stamped? or is there some more out there that i havent found yet. i believe ive read here that the cast is the better option?

also concerning ptr recievers, they seem pricey and i can only find them with trunions installed, is this a better option?

for the g3 i was hoping a ptr reciever but i cant seem to find them without trunions, or would that be more worth the money? the reason im shaky with the attached trunion notion is that ive never used a press before and i would rather just install the mated barrel and trunion i already have considering its in good shape and when i lock the bolt its got great gap. gap for the cetme is almost nonexistant though so i know i have to move that one. opinions?

Having the trunion installed should be a plus in my book, well actually two plusses. One less thing to weld and its a US part. That makes a PTR receiver with trunion worth 2 US parts. Pressing in the barrel is not that hard and at least you can set gap at what you want, not what you are stuck with.

The PTR receivers with trunion installed will not work for the CETME installation. The bolt heads and therefore the trunion dimensions are different for the CETME and G3.

They should work wonderfully for the G3 build though for the reasons listed above.

I just called vector arms today. They have the PTR91 receivers in stock for $210ea. The receivers are not listed on their web site you have to call. I think that these are without the trunion but I did not ask.
