I have a Ruger Alaskan, and I gillnetted Salmon off of Kodiak Island for a summer, does that count?:D

Born in Fairbanks and have lived in Alaska all my life. Gotta love love that midnight sun. Theres just not other place like it and will never live anywere else.

Cool I see you are in Anderson I was supposed to be in Clear later this month to do some work in the Barracks but it looks like I am going to be stuck in Valdez

this is my first winter in 10 years not living if Fairbanks I know exactly what you are talking about although I think I prefer -40 to -10 with 50mph winds and gusts to 75mph like we have in Palmer

ya i know what you mean, the wind down there in the valley can get a little outragous, my dad lives in wasilla on the hill overlooking the inlet, sometimes i dont think the house will take it. this cold gets to ya after awhile though, it was -55 a couple days, makes the winter i spent in soldotna last year feel like summer.

I was in Soldotna last summer and it was nasty pissin rain the whole time
