I have two friends that want to build a bunch of guns. For ourselves of course. The first two kits I got were from centerfire, and have since sold out. I have'nt looked real hard, but I know of a couple other places. One is Florida gun works, which I would only use if they were the very last ones, the other Dealer Warehouse. Has anyone seen any others?

Check with SEATTLE FUNGUS on the board here.Dave is a GREAT guy to deal with. Or check
on Gunbroker, Colorado Guns always has nice kits for sale. I dealt with him on some FAL stuff on numerous occasions, a good guy to deal with. :icon_biggrin:Mike.

Try Copes' Distributing. I didn't see them on their website, but they called me last week to let me know they had some in.

FGWs is really really bad from all I have heard. I would look to GB or skip it before going with FGWs

Are there any places that sell receivers for a reasonable amount?

I bought a kit to have spare parts possibly thinking to build it at a future date but I've found that after totaling the receiver cost, FFL cost, compliance parts costs, welding/pressing/etc... I couldn't really justify building one from a kit. It almost seemed like it might be easier to buy a century in need of some help and fixing it up with a new bolt head/locking piece/rollers. (provided it wasn't REALLY REALLY messed up, which is very possible with the century builds)

Of course, YMMV. This was more just because I lack access to the right tools and have no experience with TIG welding.

I ended up spending more than I would have if I had bought a Century gun. However, I also ended up with a gun that looks way better. And mine functions like a finely tunned car. No hiccups whatsoever, nomatter what ammo I feed her. So to me the savings is from the time I am not having to spend trying to mechanically fix the Century and from not having to clean up their ugly welds and the like! But to each their own. If I ran across a Century that gapped correctly at a good price, I would definitely pick it up. But it wouldn't mean as much to me as the one I built.
