what to do w/ suomi kits?

i got two of them when centerfire had them for fairly cheap and theyve been sitting since, has anyone made any progress on a somewhat easy semiauto (even if it be SBR) build for these? i might just sell them, id like to build them for sure, or one out of the best parts of the two, but my want of hording boltguns and ammo is growing:bash:

There is talk on weaponeer on these alot. I have not followed any of the threads though. I have been kicking around building one (or another sub gun) myself. If you go to unload a kit or 2 let me know. If you can use a good pair of calipers I have some I will trade posted in the for sale forum.

Some people have gotten them into semi. Its not an easy thing. I am just sitting on mine for now... Like a lot of other parts kits.

There used to be a conversion for your fal, an upper that used suomi mags but that only used the mags.

i guess ill just sit on these for awhile, 1 might go on sale sometime, i sure would like to shoot them though, theyve both got the drum mags ;)

I guess this explains why they hit the market so cheap, with centerfire not thinking that anyone would get a semi receiver out on the market, they just dumped them to recoop the investment.

That and they are not well known and had the worst demil ever! On a lot of them they did not even strip the cocking handle out! They demilled all the trunnions... Just not even worth having. Out of 8 ot 9 kits... I have maybe 2 worth building.

From what I see, the magazines almost make the kits worth while, if you can find a application for them.

I sold my 1.5 kits and drums I had at knob creek....Kept the trigger group from one to use on my 50BMG bolt action.

I got a kit at knob creek, I am planning on trying to mate some of the parts to the Pirates Plinker pistol. It seems like it should be fairly easy I just need to figure out the parts to mount the drums.

I also got a Wiselite pps43 receiver and trunnion, I want to do a quick and dirty build with that also, I really like the 7.62 x 25 round.
