I was told that a small crack is a wooden stock can be successfully repaired using acraglas gel. Should the crack be clamped closed while the epoxy dries, or just left unclamped?

if you can wedge a tooth pich in it to open it up i use weldwood contact cement. i use a hyperdermic needle to put some inside. make sure it get on both sides. let it dry completely. ( it must be dry). when it is dry pull out the tooth picks. if you can get clamps on it use them just get it to close up and not squeeze out the glue.. protect the wood from the clamps.
good luck
