Two MAS 36s and two MAS 49/56(one in 308 and one in 7.5). The 308 shoots great.

My 49/56 308 was a good shooter. I picked up a couple spare extractors since the original was worn.

Nice rifles, man! I've kinda wanted on in .308 on and off, but never really pursued it.

Thanks SteelCore, I have found all of them to be accurate and dependable. The 49/56 is heavy enough that recoil is mild in .308. Lot of fun to shoot!

they look like some fine shooters. it always amazes me the number of rifles made to take a 308. just one more to add to the list. you will have to load up a couple and come over to the west coast for one of the shoots.:Smile-izmena:

Ya'll ever notice how so many of those surplus MAS rifles are in such like-new, unfired condition?
Maybe cause the Frenchies have left the world's heavy lifting to us?

Some were used , it depends on where the MAS 36 and 49 were sold as surplus from.
