Working on a friend of mine's cetme. I've put +4 rollers in to get the bolt gap into spec. It's still on the low end (.05) with +4's. I see RTG has +6 rollers, but I don't see many people using them compared to +4's. Is there a reason for this? I know his cetme ultimately needs the barrel repressed, but if this is a valid option we thought of trying +6 rollers first. Would these give us .09 BG?

So are +6's ok to use as a last resort?

That's what they make them for! I take it you already checked and replaced the worn components?

Thanks for the reply.
I think I'll tell him to go ahead and order the +6 rollers then.

I forgot to mention it has a new looking locking piece (no wear marks) bolt has not been ground, best I can tell. The carrier looks almost new too, though I haven't measured them. Other than that I'm thinking the barrel needs repressed (century). Figured this was worth a shot though.

I put +4 in my C93 and in my cetme a couple of years back. I was just a bit apprehensive about the +6 rollers cause I'd never heard of them till I saw them on RTG's site recently. Never heard of anyone using them. Are they new to the market?

Nope, not new. I think I read you can even get +8 but I've not seen them for sale.

you might think about a barrel repress to cure the problem.thats what i done. went from no mesurable gap with +4 rollers to .015 with standard rollers.its not a hard thing to do if you have the equipment and a little know how, and well worth it for the result.

I think +6 is a lot more common now. There were not many mentions of them a few years ago. I'm thinking (I know, I will get a headache..) that +6 rollers are an HK thing that the HK guys really like so they don't have mess up the factory finish on an older gun that needs help. Sounds good anyway. 4 or 5 years ago, I heard of them but could not find them. Now RTG has them so there is a bigger supply.

+6 is OK to use, but check to make sure they will pass through the roller windows before you pin them into place. You might check your roller windows and locking piece, you might be able to get the added gap you need by putting in a new bolt head or LP. Many people make the mistake of focusing only on the rollers as the fix for low gap. Sometimes the change of a bolt head and locking piece will make all the difference in the world.

If you didn't already order I have a set I didn't need for a CETME rebuild. Only fired 20 rounds with them in the rifle then took them out and used other parts to fix my problem. Ended up having a worn down bolt face.

Yeah, the maker of the rollers is fairly new to the market. Belt Fed Precision makes and sales them as well. Real nice people. Here's a link to their rollers, they have +8's there too. They build HK 21E/23E AND 21, 11'S. http://www.beltfedinc.webeasysite.us/beltfed%20new_012.htm

+1 to what blade said. I replaced everything but the carrier, and was able to go back to standard rollers from +4s/
