Does anybody make a Saiga 12 pistol grip that fits without drilling holes?

There are stocks with pistol grips that don't need the drilling conversion step but they tend to look rather ugly.

I may be missing something... why drill holes? Mine didnt require that.

Are you doing a AK type conversion, or just trying to add a pistol grip to a standard Saiga 12?

I just wanted to add a pistol grip. Who makes the stock in the picture Noskov posted?

I've believe Tapco makes that one but it normally uses a standard AR collapsible stock; that one above uses the ACE stock.

Just do the conversion when you can, it will be a better combat shotgun and it will be a lot more valuable if you were to ever sell it.

+1 to what oldpaint0 said. What really annoys me about that pistol grip + stock is that during the Saiga 12 ATF scare not too long ago, some sellers had claimed their Saiga's to be converted and were charging $900-$1000+ for them when in reality it was that exact pistol grip stock combo which only costs $49.99. Some of the sellers took angled and obscure pics to try and minimize or reveal the so called conversion.

When you buy the kit does it have everything needed for the conversion, and where is the best place to get the kit?

Are you talking about the one in the pic or a complete conversion kit to make a Saiga an AK again.

This kit has everything you need to do the conversion, and you do not have to cut a hole in the receiver for the pistol grip. They do have different stock options.

Do these conversions usually go without problems? I'm just a little concerned about grinding off rivets and stuff like that on my Saiga.

Go to you tube and do a search Saiga 12 conversion. Carolina shooters supply have a series of video's that will show how to do the conversion. It is easier than you think.

We have videos here but when youtube changed its format the links went dead. I'll try to get them running again this weekend.

Yep Greg at Carolina shooter suppliy is a great guy to deal with. If you haven't already done the conversion you owe it to yourself to do it. The videos on the you tube are very informative. The hardest part, which really isn't that hard is the darn bolt hold open spring being put back in place. Good luck and let us know what you did. Oh pics are always great!

I did my conversion with parts from Carolina. Good quality stuff.
