View Full Version : How to extract a broken case?

I had a casing break in my SVT-40 this morning. 2/3 of the case is still inside the barrel and I cannot seem to get it out. I tried using a cleaning rod to back it out the chamber, but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks.

Ya need a broken shell extractor. A cal 30 1919 one would work.

If you don't have one you, check out CMP. If you get a MilSpec 30.06 (M1) model, It'll work in any US .30 cal.
