Do everything that needed doing, and sent in My CMP Application to get my Service grade M1 Garand.Just today I got two email notices, one from CMP and one from Fed-Ex that it is coming tomorrow by 10:30 AM. Then Fed-Ex called the house that afternoon to make sure that somebody would be there to sign for it.

It will be a great Christmas present! I have bought several Garands and ammo from CMP. I would pace all day when they were due in until the Fedex folks came. Are you sure you got the service grade? They have been out of those
for several months. They do have the Field Grades in stock. Get your self a bayonet before they run out of those. Really makes the rifle look great! I also bought their canvas slings, which are very reasonable, as I don't like
the leather ones that well. Again, I love them, even rebuild one from scratch. You will too!

Enjoy your Garand. I couldn't wait to get mine from CMP. That was many years ago.
