I have a CFS H&K collapsible stock that I am wanting to put on a century cast cetme receiver. Will it work? I tried the stock on my century arms CETME with stamped receiver and the stock just jammed, it wouldnt collapse or anything.. If this doesnt or wont work, I am going to RMA this stock and get a CZ-52... any ideas??

thanks in advance...

Another case of the stamped receiver being out of spec? Does the stock work without being put on a receiver? I would find a cast receiver and try it first on the cast as it should work correctly. You might have to file or grind down the back of the receiver to get all the holes to aline correctly, but that should be about it. If not, post it here as I am sure someone will buy it fast.

Pictures....and a better explantion of jammed. Do you mean the sliding stock will not slide forward? If so, have you broke out the sharpie and seen what/where it was rubbing/binding? More details would be helpful, as it should work on a stamped Cetme.

It will work on the cast SS also! At least mine did with no fitting. It seems to fit better than on my G3 build!

I put an HK collapsible stock on my stainless receiver. I had to do a little filing because of the lip behind the rear site (can't remember whether I filed the stock or the rifle, but it was very little filing so that the stock would go all the forward). And I had to go to Lowe's and get some cotterless clevis pins to replace the standard stock pins. But these have rings which make it easy to remove them. Otherwise, the stock fit fine.

He said it was on a cast receiver that it would not work.

One thing to keep in mind when dealing with the CAST receivers....

The CETME and G3 cast receivers are slightly different at the rear.

This has to do with the buttstock hangars having different profiles on the two rifles.

The CETME buttstock hangar has a concave (curved in) profile while the G3 hangar is curved out.

Because the receivers are slightly thicker material than spec, they are recessed at the rear to match the profile of the hangar. The G3 buttstock hangars will have to be modified to match the CETME profile in order to fit correctly.

Here you can see a G3 hangar that I was modifying to fit onto a CETME receiver:

I did the same exact thing. I got a HK collapsable buttstock for a build on a SS cast receiver. Just for grins to see how it would look I tried it on my CAI cetme stamped receiver. It would go on collapsed but was hung up like a yard dog and wouldn't extend. The stamped receiver is too wide and needs to be adjusted in. The SS cast receiver fit fine with just some filing off of the rear of the receiver to align the pin holes.

You had the exact same problem I had with the stock fitting the stamped CETME receiver... Only the pin holes actually lined up perfectlyon my stamped cetme receiver... I guess I'll try it on the cast cetme receiver when it gets here (hopefully) tomorrow :icon_biggrin: .
